Ashwagandha Latte

Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb with a long tradition in Ayurvedic medicine and has more recently become popular in the Western world. It has been found to help improve resilience to stress and reduce anxiety by lowering cortisol levels. This makes it a great herb to take during stressful times and comes in different forms including tinctures, capsules, teas and powders. This Ashwagandha Latte makes a lovely comforting night time drink.

Recipe:

1 cup of plain milk (my favourite is unsweetened almond milk)

1tsp raw honey

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Pinch of ground nutmeg

Pinch of ground turmeric

Pinch of seasalt

1tsp Ashwagandha root powder


Warm up the milk, whisk in all the ingredients, bring only very briefly to the boil and enjoy!
