HEALTHY BREAKFAST: PORRIDGE

Eating breakfast gives your body energy and will help to stabilise your blood sugar levels throughout the day.

 

Porridge

  • Use any or a combination of organic oats, sprouted oats, quinoa flakes, chia seeds, buckwheat

  • Make with unsweetened almond/rice/coconut/oat/or organic cows milk

  • Add a handful of nuts such as walnuts, almonds or macadamias to help keep you fuller for longer. A few berries will add sweetness as well as valuable antioxidants

  • Adding stewed apple (unsweetened) is great for your gut health. You can make a batch and keep it in the fridge for a few days.

DID YOU KNOW?

Adding a sprinkling of cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon ideally) can help to balance blood sugar levels and reduce cravings.
